Circa – A Company in Residence

After being closed for a year and a half, we are finally starting a long-awaited new season: From September 3, we will not only welcome one of the most sought-after circus companies worldwide, but also long-term friends and companions: Circa Contemporary Circus.

The group from Brisbane is one of the pioneers of the Australian contemporary circus and has performed with their productions in over 40 countries to over a million people. Circa have also been guests on our stage several times, but this visit will be a little different than usual. Under the theme “Circa – A Company in Residence”, the company will make their home at the Chameleon for four months and will present four different pieces to their Berlin audiences until the end of the year.

This production concept allows us together with the Circa Ensemble to adapt four outstanding productions from the Circa repertoire for our stage and further develop them artistically. And it gives our audience the special opportunity to get a taste of the whole range of Circa’s circus world in a relatively short time. Please find the program overview here.
