Meet Circa Contemporary Circus

They perform all over the world, regularly win awards and show us how a radical physicality can create powerful and moving performances: Circa Contemporary Circus.

We are really looking forward to opening our new season together with Circa after a long pause. The exceptional company from Brisbane has already been our guest several times, and this time we’re starting something very special with our new concept Circa – A Company in Residence. From September 3 to December 31, 2021, Circa are going to perform four pieces from their repertoire, which we will newly rework and bring to the stage together.

To get ready for the season, we met with Circa’s artistic director, Yaron Lifschitz, for a (digital) interview. In the video he talks about the history and creative approach of the company and what audiences can expect at #CIRCAinresidence.

We are also particularly pleased that we will be able to offer several Q&As with the artists and audience members in cooperation with Theaterscoutings Berlin over the course of the season. The exact dates will be announced shortly.
