Silly Little Things
Light and silly, absurd and Dada, and a sort of autobiographical, introspective look at all the silly little things that can make or break a friendship.
Ranked in the top five of best reviewed comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe for its debut season, Silly Little Things is a hilarious, moving and physically extraordinary new show by the industry leading mime Trygve Wakenshaw. Silly Little Things is at once subversive and sublime – a masterclass of mime from the man who paved the way for so many contemporary clowns.
In his latest show, Trygve builds an experimental playground and lets his imagination run riot. Spinning ridiculous scenes out of the smallest funny ideas, and conjuring up slapstick magic, Silly Little Things is a space of wonder and joy. It’s about friendship and magic and what more could we want really?

About the Artist
The New Zealand born Trygve (pronounced Trig-vee ) is a physical comedy performer who studied at École Philippe Gaulier, the prestigious Paris clown school with alumni including Sasha Baron-Cohen and Emma Thompson. Wakenshaw’s unique style combines mime, physical theater and cheeky idiocy – he is mad, risqué and uniquely eccentric. The critically acclaimed, award-winning clown presents his beautifully strange stream-of-consciousness idiocy in different shows. His hilarious and fun hit physical comedies Squidboy, Kraken and Nautilus have been known to sell out at festivals around the world. He was also touring his award winning Different Party with best friend and collaborator Barnie Duncan and then with his one year old son Phineas Wakenshaw in Trygve vs. a Baby. His most recent show Silly Little Things garnered great acclaim at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
