DUMMY - Variety Show 2.0

A new generation of variety artists is coming to the stage to fuse man and puppet together, creating a fascinating entity in a terrific, technically innovative treat for the senses: DUMMY is the Variety Show 2.0!

The idea was first conceived by 24 year old director and artist extraordinaire, Eike von Stuckenbrok, in collaboration with the stage visionary, Markus Pabst (“SOAP – The Show”). They have created an entire world of their own: it is emotive, enthralling, and accompanied by a soundtrack composed by the artists themselves, with music ranging from electro to classical.

Sublime body-art is presented on a tilting stage in an impressive dialogue with interactive video projections by light magician, Frieder Weiss, whose futuristic visual installations have amazed audiences worldwide, and have also embellished videos for Kylie Minogue.

The beautiful, bizarre and tremendous images will be created in real-time by a combination of man and technology.

DUMMY leads its audience to a completely new dimension!

grew up in Sicilia for nine years before he moved with his parents to Pforzheim, Germany. It just about the same time when he discovered his love for breakdancing and soon joined the "Havox Crew" with whom, among other things, he was crowned German Champion in breakdance and hip hop 5 times. In 2003, Alessandro performed as an individual artist in the breakdance and hip-hop championships and took home the title. He trained at the "Danceworks" vocational school in Berlin, adding modern dance to his already impressive repertoire. Alessandro has already performed in numerous film and TV productions, such as "Dance Star" 2007, "Popstars on Stage Finale" or "Vivalicious". He recently performed on stage in the shows "Versus", "VibeZ", "White Blank Age" and "Dummy".

is a Polish-born, Pacific Northwest-raised cellist, singer, and composer who has been living in Portland, OR for the last four years. Apart from her pop-folk, indie-classical solo project, Ashia & the Bison Rouge, she has performed with Cirque du Soleil, Vagabond Opera, and the Portland Cello Project. She is currently performing with the acrobatic show “Dummy” in Germany.

is an exceptionally talented shooting star of the German variety show. His spectacular handstand performance CREAP was his watershed moment, where unleashed his unique artistic and creative talent. This won him the bronze medal in the world's most important artistic award, the "Cirque du Demain" in Paris. After a number of successful guest performances at famous venues, such as the Sydney Opera House, Paul o`Grady's cult British TV show, Plus Grand Cabaret or at the renown Royal variety show attended by the Queen of England, Germany's infamous Bild tabloid daily named him one of the 100 most promising Germans and arte, a Franco-German TV network, broadcast an artistic portrait of him. Only 21 years young Eike is now presenting his directing debut "DUMMY" in the GOP variety show in cooperation with Markus Pabst.

Florian was born in Basel, Switzerland and became a state-certified artist in 2007. He has worked together with renown choreographers and directors for the shows SOAP / SOAP the Tour, Made in Germany, The Box, ID and Cirque eloize (Korea tour). Since 2010, he has performed on tour with Traces from the production company 7fingers, during which he spent one year in New York.

After choosing to pursue a career in circus over fire fighting, Jon completed a three year degree in circus arts, specialising in Chinese Pole. His latest act ‘Dancing Like No One’s Watching’ fuses social mishaps with acrobatic skills to demonstrates his unique style on the Chinese Pole. Since graduating from The Circus Space in 2009 Jon has performed in countries across the world including Japan, Brazil and Germany to name just a few… His experience includes varieté, circus, festivals, theatre and TV. He was also awarded the Bronze prize at the European Youth Circus Festival in Wiesbaden in October 2010.

She grew up backstage while travelling the world and learning all different kinds of disciplines: gymnastics, acting, dance, acrobatic rock-n-roll, and a quite a bit of circus. In 2008, Masha graduated from the École national de cirque of Montreal. Since then she's toured the world with Cirque Du Soleil, Soap the Show, and other productions.

was born in Madrid, Spain. He began his gymnastic training at the early age of 6 and shortly after he took his place in the Spanish national team aged 14. In his competitive career he was amongst others finalist in the All-around category at the Olympic games Sydney 2000. September 2004 Cortes began his first professional adventure in Cirque Du Soleil with Corteo touring the USA and finishing after a long resident run in Las Vegas with KA at the renowned MGM Grand. Omar has gone on to perform solo straps in various highly acclaimed cabaret shows such as La Soiree at the Roundhouse London ,G.O.P Theatre, The Hole at The Haagen Daas theatre Madrid and EL Lio cabaret Ibiza.

Immediately after completing his degree at the State Ballet School of Berlin and Berlin School for Acrobatic Arts in 2008, the young Franco-German honed his unmistakeable act on the Chinese pole. Together with director Markus Pabst, he has created a touching choreography riddled with emotional highlights and brilliant technique. Since then, this mixture has captivated audiences and the press alike and already garnered Remi Martin a number of distinguished awards - among others, a bronze medal at the world famous Cirque du Demain in Paris and a silver medal at Germany's most important circus festival on the island of Sylt. Remi can now be seen on all the major stages, including Wintergarten in Berlin, the GOP variety show as well as numerous gala events in Germany and abroad.
